Arrest History in Pierce County
Pierce County arrest records begin with the agency that made the arrest. The Pierce County Sheriff handles county law enforcement and operates the jail. Blackshear Police, Patterson Police, Georgia State Patrol Post 22, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation may also create incident or arrest reports for events in Pierce County. A city or state arrest can still lead to a Pierce County Jail booking, but the jail does not become the holder of the arresting agency's narrative report.
The booking is a separate custody record. It shows that intake occurred and records the charges or warrants delivered to jail at that time. It does not establish guilt. A prosecutor may decline a charge, change it, or file a different count. The clerk then records what the court did. GCIC receives fingerprintable arrest cycles and later reported dispositions. A full Pierce County arrest history may require all four sources because each captures a distinct step.
Pierce County Booking Roster
The sheriff links an official Pierce County inmate and booking roster hosted by Eagle Advantage Solutions. It is free and does not require an account. Start with “Bookings Over Last 24 Hours” for a new intake. If a match is absent, move to “Current Inmates” or choose “Inmates by Booking Date.” First and last names are optional, and both date boxes may be left blank to show all entries available in the selected view.
Search spelling variants when punctuation or timing may affect a result. Then confirm identity through jail staff rather than relying on a common name. The roster can show arrest time, days in jail, arresting officer, total bond, warrant and charge details, court, sentence or release entries, and an inmate ID. Pierce County disables date of birth and broad previous-inmate history in this configuration. An empty search therefore cannot prove that no prior arrest exists.
The sheriff and jail leadership page identifies the county offices responsible for booking and records retention.
That official page is the best route when the Pierce County booking roster needs staff confirmation or a formal copy.
How to Look Up Pierce County Arrests
No single Pierce County arrest search replaces the agency report, jail entry, court disposition, and GCIC record. Use the route that answers the question, then connect records with dates, report or booking numbers, warrant numbers, and case numbers where available.
- Check the official Pierce County roster. Use the recent-booking tab first, then current inmates and booking-date search. Call the jail at 912-449-2012 when timing, release, transfer, or spelling may explain a missing result.
- Request the incident or arrest report from the agency that made the arrest. The sheriff is at 300 Pierce Industrial Boulevard and 912-449-2100; Blackshear Police is at 219 Nichols Street and 912-449-7011; Patterson Police uses 912-647-2117; GSP Post 22 uses 912-287-6500.
- Check the filed case with the Pierce clerk. Superior Court holds felony filings, State Court holds misdemeanor and traffic cases, and a municipal court may hold a city citation. The Pierce County criminal court case file is the source for filed charges and disposition.
- Use GCIC for the distinct statewide fingerprint-linked history. Georgia Felon Search is limited to public in-state felony-conviction information, so it is not a complete Pierce County arrest log.
- Send a focused Georgia Open Records Act request when a phone or roster check is not enough. Identify the event, date range, report or booking number, desired fields, format, and a maximum cost.
Pierce County Arresting Agencies
The arresting officer field on a Pierce County booking can point to the report holder. Sheriff reports go to the sheriff. A Blackshear or Patterson arrest narrative remains with that police department even when the person was booked into Pierce County Jail. GSP Post 22 maintains its own incident material, and GBI maintains reports for investigations it conducted. Asking the jail for every document can produce only the custody part of the record.
For sheriff-created records, reports contact Jennifer Cason is listed at jennifer.cason@piercegaso.org. A request may seek the incident or arrest report, booking sheet, charge entries, bond and release fields, and other releasable portions. Pierce County publishes no separate online sheriff request portal or local fee sheet. Ask whether identification or prepayment is required before ordering copies. Pending-investigation material, juvenile records, victim details, and protected personal data can be withheld or redacted under Georgia law.

What an Arrest Record Shows
The live Pierce County roster presents a custody-focused inventory. Read the main row first, then expand the Charges, Sentence, Visitation, and Other panels where present. Total bond is an aggregate and may not explain the terms attached to each count. “Prison Location” is a vendor field label, not automatic proof of placement in a Georgia state prison.
| Custody timing | Arrest date and time, days in jail, and later release information when entered. |
|---|---|
| Identity fields | Name, sex, height, weight, age, and inmate ID; date of birth is disabled in the Pierce County view. |
| Arrest source | Arresting officer, which helps identify the agency likely to hold the incident or arrest report. |
| Charges | Warrant number, count, statute, description, offense type, and court as delivered to the jail. |
| Bond | Total bond shown at booking; it may combine amounts and does not state every condition. |
| Sentence and release | Warrant number, sentence, and release date when those entries have been added. |
| Photo scope | A thumbnail may be available in the official roster. No booking photos or arrestee names are republished here. |
Pierce County Bond Records
Pierce County accepts cash, Pierce County property, out-of-county property, or an approved professional bond. Cash requires the full amount, and the sheriff says checks and credit cards are not accepted. A $20 nonrefundable fee applies to each bond instrument, plus statutory surcharges. Property in Pierce County requires current taxes, ownership documents, government photo identification, and the presence of all owners listed on the deed or tax receipt.
An out-of-county property bond must be prepared by the sheriff in the county where the property lies. The Pierce County sheriff states that a professional bondsman may charge no more than 12 percent on bonds through $10,000 and 15 percent above that amount. The number of instruments affects the fee total. Verify the actual bond, accepted form of payment, and release status with the jail before traveling.
Note: A roster's total bond figure does not replace the court or jail instructions that control release on each Pierce County count.
Recent Arrests and Booking Logs
The 24-hour booking tab is Pierce County's official recent-intake route. It is not a PDF blotter or a permanent arrest archive. A booking may move outside that time window, and a person released or transferred may not appear under current inmates. Search the booking-date view and call the jail before drawing a conclusion from an empty result.
When the roster fails, ask staff whether the person was released, transferred, held elsewhere, or entered with a different spelling. Request the booking sheet for a durable record. If a city police department or GSP made the arrest, request its report separately. Once a person transfers to state custody, the GDC Find an Offender search becomes the relevant custody source.
The state locator shows why a Pierce County roster search has a clear endpoint after transfer.
Use GDC only for state correctional custody, not as a substitute for the Pierce County arresting agency's report or local court outcome.
Pierce County Booking Record Flow
A Pierce County booking first reflects the warrant or charge delivered at intake. The prosecutor can later decline, reduce, add, or restructure counts. Bond can change. Court disposition may arrive after release. The arresting agency must submit a fingerprintable cycle to GCIC, while the clerk and other justice agencies report the final disposition. Different labels across official systems can reflect different stages rather than an error.
Arrest report → Pierce County booking → charging decision → court disposition → GCIC update
Use the agency report to learn who arrested the person and why. Use the jail record to confirm custody, bond, and release. Use the court file to learn what was filed and how the case ended. Use GCIC to review the fingerprint-linked Georgia history that state law permits it to release. If a disposition is missing from GCIC, contact the court that owns it before seeking a repository correction.
The GDC offender-search FAQ explains the scope of the state correctional locator.
This state layer begins after correctional transfer and does not turn GDC into a full Pierce County arrest-history source.
Arrests vs Convictions
An arrest is an allegation and a processing event. A conviction is a court outcome. Pierce County Jail can accurately show what it received at booking even if a prosecutor later files different charges or no charge. Likewise, a dismissal in court does not erase every agency copy by itself. Record restriction and court sealing are separate legal processes under Georgia law.
| Point | Arrest Record | Conviction Record |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | Arresting agency and Pierce County Jail | Superior, State, or municipal court |
| Meaning | An arrest and booking occurred | The court entered a guilty outcome |
| Best source | Agency report and official jail roster | Clerk's docket and disposition order |
| Later change | Release, transfer, or charges changed after intake | Sentence, appeal, restriction, or sealing where allowed |
Note: A Pierce County arrest is not proof of guilt, and the filed court case may differ from the booking entry.
Pierce County Arrest Record Requests
The Georgia Open Records Act gives a practical fallback when the Pierce County roster is too narrow. Send the request to the agency that made or maintains the record. State the event date or range, location, subject only when needed, report or booking number, exact parts sought, electronic or paper format, and whether inspection or certified copies will work. An agency generally must respond within three business days by producing available records or stating timing, cost, and any legal basis for withholding.
The agency does not have to create a new criminal-history compilation. Ask for segregable public parts if a report also contains exempt content. Fax, email, and drop-box channels for sheriff records were not confirmed in an official source, so use the published office, mail route, or phone for routing. No official Pierce County sheriff copy fee or local criminal-history fee was located. Ask before authorizing cost.
